History

In 1953,
the firm then known as “Mulchandbhai Kanjibhai” laid the foundation of cotton business.

In 1958, Mr. Mulchandbhai Shah in partnership with Mr. Bhailal Patel started business of
“Kala-Kapas” with name Mulchand Bhailal (famously known as M.B).

Mulchandbhai was also partner of M/s. Girdharlal Nanelal Industries, Burhanpur, Madhya pradesh. With his experience gained in Burhanpur, he started ginning & pressing of V-797 at Viramgam. Initially starting with 500 bales it reached 15000 bales per year. Later he started processing at Botad to deal with Shankar varieties.

In 1975 Mr. Ramesh shah, the eldest son of Mulchandbhai joined the business. He took his training at
M/s. Girdharlal Nanelal Industries in Burhanpur. He mastered the art of selling and looks after selling part
of business.

In 1980 Mr. Dilip Shah, the younger son of Mulchandbhai joined business. He mastered the art of purchasing and has implemented flawless management & accounting system since he joined business.

They started full-fledge cotton ginning & pressing business at Viramgam, Botad, Sapar and Surendranagar dealing in all varieties of cotton grown in Gujarat like Vagad, Co2, V-797 & S-6.

Cotton ginning & pressing reached 20,000 bales per year.

During offseason period they started ready purchase and sell of cotton bales on commission basis.

Later they hived off cotton processing business and since past 12 years they are dealing into ready stock on commission basis.
